Why microneedling, and why now?
Some skin concerns — indented acne scars, enlarged pores, crepey texture — cannot be fixed from the surface, because the problem lies in the skin's structure. These need the skin to rebuild collagen, and microneedling is one of the most reliable ways to trigger exactly that.
By creating thousands of tiny, controlled channels, microneedling activates the body's natural repair response. Over the following weeks and months, fresh collagen and elastin fill in scars, refine pores, and smooth texture — a genuine remodelling of the skin rather than a temporary surface effect.
For deeper scarring or laxity, microneedling can be enhanced: combined with PRP (your own growth factors) to accelerate healing, or delivered with radiofrequency (RF microneedling) to reach deeper and tighten. Dr. Kanchan selects the version suited to your skin and goals.
What microneedling treats.
Acne Scars
Rolling and boxcar acne scars respond well as new collagen lifts and softens the indentations over a course of treatments.
Open Pores
Enlarged pores are refined as the surrounding skin firms and thickens.
Texture & Tone
Rough, uneven texture and general dullness improve as the skin renews.
Fine Lines & Stretch Marks
Early fine lines soften, and stretch marks on the body can be improved with collagen stimulation.
How treatment works.
After cleansing, a numbing cream is applied for about 20 to 30 minutes so the treatment is comfortable. The microneedling device is then moved across the skin, and where appropriate PRP or serums are applied to enhance the result. A session takes around 30 to 45 minutes in total.
Everything is single-use and sterile — an important difference from at-home derma-rollers, which cannot achieve the same depth safely and risk infection or irregular results.
What to expect afterwards.
Immediately afterwards the skin looks flushed, similar to a mild sunburn, for one to two days. Some light dryness or flaking can follow. Makeup is usually avoided for the first day, and diligent sun protection is essential while the skin recovers.
Results build gradually: you will see texture and scarring improve over the weeks following each session, with the fullest benefit after a course of several treatments spaced about a month apart. Because it stimulates your own collagen, the improvement is natural and long-lasting.
